American Idol Season 8 will see a new judge added to the panel this year. Kara DioGuardi a Grammy-nominated songwriter has been chosen to sit along side of Paula, Simon and Randy. She will join the American Idol judges at the beginning of season 8. The initial rounds of American Idol auditions have been completed and were awating the dates for the next round of American Idol to begin. American Idol has lost some of its popularity over the last few seasons and hopefully with the successful American Idols Tour and additon of the Kara DioGuardi to the judging panel season 8 will be a big hit. Hopefully these new judgest will some new un and comming singers the opportunity to make some extra income with their music career.
If you havn't noticed American Idols popularity has not only grown with its local television viewing but many local shool choirs are holding American Idol competitions amoung their singers. There is an Indian Idol show that is being broadcast in India and similar singing competitions are propping up on televisions throughout the world.

With the ending of Season 7 American Idol comes the American Idols Live Tour Tickets. Tickets For the American Idol Live tour are on sale at most venues and selling at a rapid pace. The American Idol Live tour 2008 will feature the top 10 performers from this seasons American Idol show including David Cook, David Archuleta, Syesha Macardo, Jason Castro, Brook White, Carly Smithson, Chikeze, Kristy Lee Cook, Michael Johns and Ramiele Malubay. The American Idols summer live tour will begin in Glendale Arizona on July 1st and end September 13th with the final concert in Tulsa Oaklahoma. David Cook The Season 7 American Idols Winner
American Idol Season 7 has come to an end with the naming of this year's American Idol Winner David Cook. After all the judges gave praises to both David Cook and David Archuleta for their season long accomplishments, David Cook was named the winner. Simon was even so humble to apologize to David for being rude in his previous criticisms and stated that he didn't care who one as both David's were deserving. While Season 7 has come to an end, its just the beginning for the American Idols Live tour where all of this seasons 10 ten American Idols will be singing. Tickets have gone on sale for the American Idols Live tour across the country , so check out your local concert hall for the tour dates.

American Idols | Jason Castro Shoots Himself In The Foot
Jason Castro gets eliminated in 4th place on American Idol after shooting himself in the foot and forgetting the words to Bog Dylan's "Tambourine Man". This blunder on Tuesday night secured him a trip home in 4th place. The top 3 remaining American Idols are Syesha Mecrado, David Archuleta and David Cook. Many are speculating that David Cook will be the one eliminated next week leaving Syesha and David in a showdown for the honor of being named this years American Idol. It's hard to believe this season of the show is nearing completion already. I have heard rumblings that this will be the last season but haven't been able to confirm that anywhere. Congratulations to the Top 3 remaining contestants.
American Idols | Final 4 American Idols Remaining
With the elimination of Brook White there are now only 4 American Idol contestants remaining. David Archuleta, Jason Castro, Syesha Mercado and David Cook. With the field narrowing rapidly next weeks performances should be stellar. Any of the American Idol contestants expecting to move on to be the last remaining American Idol will have to not only pick the right song but perform it flawlessly. It will definitely be a fight to the finish and should make for some very entertaining television. Syesha has her work cut out for her being the only female American Idol contestant remaining.

American Idol aired its charity event last night with a whole host of celebrities both on stage and in the crowd. Unlike weeks past there was not an elimination last night. This weeks American Idols elimination will take place tonight Thurday April 10 at 8pm est. American Idols | Blogging Contest Unintentional Consequences
Those seeking Idol updates this will be a bit off topic and you will probably be a bit confused. In recent months there has been a competition of sorts among myself and some other fellow bloggers. In the course of this contest I have inadvertently made a post on another blog using the same name as one of my fellow bloggers. Unknowingly this site was a regular site that my fellow blogger frequents and was a top commenter. My using the same name with my url in the comment subsequently replaced his there by giving me an advantage in our contest. I'm going to attempt to go back and remove my comment but not sure if this is possible. If you would like more details on this check out Asia'h Epperson rocks.
American Idols | Chikezie Joins Asia'h Epperson And Amy Davis
And then there were 9. Chikezie the one named wonder joins the other eliminated American Idol hopefulls like Asia'h Epperson, Amy Davis,and Luke Menard. To be quite honest I thought he would have been eliminated well before now, but that's just my opinion.
Still no mention on American Idol about bringing back 5 contestants that were previously eliminated. Maybe It was just a dream I was having. If so Asia'h Epperson and the others will just have to try out next season. The only mention I can find is of previous years contestants coming back for the chaity event being held on April 9th.
American Idols | American Idol Finalis | Top 10 Money In Site
Well tonight's the night the top 10 American Idol finalists do battle. With the grand prize money getting closer to their grasp, I'm sure the performances won't let us down. Who do you think will "WOW" us tonight? David Archuleta, Brook White, Michael Johns? Don't be surprised if Carly Smithson pulls out the night of her life, she's been getting awful close to the bottom of the pack and needs the boost. Those that fail to stun the American Idol fans tonight better start lobbying for votes if they expect to continue.
On a side note has anyone noticed the American Idol songwriters contest? It had completely missed it up until today. March 31st is the deadline to get your song submitted. You can check out americanidol.com for all the details. Wouldn't It be funny if one of the eliminated contestants like Asia'h Epperson, Kady Malloy, Jason Yeager, or Danny Noriega entered the song writers contest and won. What an interesting twist of fate that would be. I'm not sure they are even eligible though, I didn't bother to read the contest rules.

Americna Idosls | Asia'h Epperson | Web comeback
The Internet is all a buzz about the possibility that Asia'h Epperson may have an opportunity to comeback in an April episode of American Idol. Asia'h Epperson, Amy Davis, Luke Menard, Garrett Haley and many of the already eliminated Idols must be chewing at the bit to see if they will be one of the 5 that gets a second chance. I'm sure Asia'h will get the opportunity as many felt she was eliminated far too early in the competition. As for the others I'm not sure who deserves to come back. Perhaps Ramiele Malubay or Jason Castro will get the nod. It definitely adds a spark to American Idol. All those in favor of bringing back Asia'h Epperson raise your hand :)
American Idols | Asia'h Epperson May Get To Come Back
There are many sites out there spreading news of an April American idol episode that will bring back 5 of the eliminated contestants. Asia'h Epperson may get a chance to come back for this showing. From reading these rumors it is my understanding that 5 contested will be brought back to perform and voting will take place. The difference is that this time it will cost you to vote for Asia'h Epperson or whoever they bring back. The money raised from this is to go to charity if the sites I've been reading sources are correct. The rumors are saying that of the 5 brought back the one with the most votes will get to tour with the other top 10 in “Idols Live”. Asia'h Epperson may definitely have a shot at this one. Of the many contestants that were eliminated Asia'h Epperson was one of the strongest in my opinion. Besides who wouldn't want to bring back one of the hottest idols eliminated for the live tour.

Amanda Overmyer once again came out with a shocking appearance, many compared her striped outfit to that of Bettlejuice. Asia’h Epperson who many thought would be in the final four was also sent packing on last nights American Idol. Kady Malloy and Danny Noriega were the other two American Idols finalists sent home. Congrats to that that made the cut.
American Idols | American Idol Sweet 16 | Female Finalists
Amanda Overmyer overcomes her bad hair, past DUI,and tough reputation to put together her best night on American Idol. Her song of choice for the night was "I Hate Myself For Loving You" and the judges loved it. Simon Cowell who for the most part doesnt like anyone even gave her rave reviews. Carly Smithson and Brook White also put up huge performances to round out what I believe were the top 3 last night.
Cute lil Ramiele Malubay, Asia’h Epperson, Kristy Lee Cook, and Syesha Mercado all put on good performances but with mixed reactions from the judges. The female American Idols put on a better show this week than their male counter parts in my opinion. Eliminations of the American Idol Sweet 16 will take place tonight. To be quite frank other than Luke Menard being on the chopping block I'm not sure who will go home.

Davaid Archuleta continues to impress with a good performance of "Another Day In Paradise" This week he also showed off his instrumental skills by playing the piano as well. Chikeze had what I believe to be his best night yet. I'm still not sure if I like him yet or not. Michael Johns, David Hernandez and Jason Castro all had pretty good performances as well. While Jason Castro might be growing on the judges im still not sure about that hair. All of these contestants should be safe from the next round of American Idol Eliminations.
On the hot seat this week I believe will be Luke Menard, David Cook, Danny Noriega. "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" What the heck was Luke Menard thinking Yikes!!. GO!! GO!! might be exactly what the judges say during Thursday night's American Idol Eliminations. My bet is on David Archuleta winning it all.

The biggest shock of the week was the elimination of Alaina Whitaker in week 2 of American idol. Wow was she ever shocked!!! She put on a show of tears that even made me feel embarassed for her. Alaina your young enough to recover, pull it together and focus on your future. Other than Amanda Overmyer's hair I dont think I have seen a bigger mess on the American Idol stage before. Speculation running around the web is that Amanda Overmyer,who showed very little range in her voice, will be the next female voted off. Carly Smithson will have to pull off a very good week if she expects to continue on in the American Idol Finals. Rumors about her being a ringer have upset many and her popularity is plummeting quickly, so dont be surprised if she goes home also.

David Archuleta is the clear front runner going into the next round of American Idol and provided he isnt caught up in some scandal should remain the contestant to beat.
He has definately gained the advantage of having all the teenage girls running for their phone's to vote. My daughters included. David Hernandez and CHikezie were two performers that I thought did better than expected last week. I'm curious to see if there are any surprises on this weeks American Idol.
American Idols | Dark Horse Aliana Whitaker Axed From American Idol
Congrats to both Luke Menard and Amanda Overmeyer on avoiding the sharp axe of American Idol voters. Indiana fans are still in the hunt on this one even though American Idol Amy Davis got the boot early on. Alaina Whitaker who Simon Cowell had mentioned as a possible American Idol sleeper was sent packing tears and all. Jason Yeager was the other contestant that found his time on American Idol short lived. Best wishes to both these young performers in the future.
As for Asia'h Epperson you better reexamine your song selection and appearance if you expect to make it out of the next round. Were not asking that you change who you are, but the judges attitudes can make or break the American Idol voters response to your performance.
I learned something new about Luke Menard this week that I didn't already know.
He has been performing for some time with an acapella group. A bit of advice Luke don’t choose Queen songs. Queen has a distinct sound and it’s hard to ever compare to the original.

American Idols | Amanda Overmyer Terrible Hair
Amanda Overmyer get rid of that "terrible hair" was Simon's opinion on American Idol tonight after her perfomance of Carry On Wayward Son. All three judges felt the song was completely wrong for her. I actually agree on that. AMANDA OVERMYER stick to your blues style that got you on the show in the first place!!! Each of the judges tonight Paula included thought her look was a bit over the top. Paula stated "Your a beautiful girl and dont need to overdue that make up" If Amanda expects to go on in this competition she's going to have bend to the judges will just a bit. Amanda dont get too down though cause they didnt like Ramiele Malubay or Alaina Whitaker song choices either. Simon did suggest that Asia'h Epperson may be the dark horse of the competition. I'm getting the feeling its going to be a tough road for all the females on American Idol this year.
American Idols | American Idol Male Finalists | Who Will Crash And Burn
One thing I have noticed lately while reading many different American Idol blogs is that the majority of the fans really just want to see someone crash and burn. Much like the Romans watching the gladiators viewers of American Idol today just want to see which finalist will fall on their face. I guess this isn’t much of a surprise as most of our television today revolves around getting ratings through shock and aw, violence, or conflicts. While I must admit every time I watch American Idol I really look forward to the moment when the finalists get to stand before the almighty Simon.
Tonight the field has been narrowed to 10 American Idol male finalists all competing to stay alive through another week. Who do you think will be the contestant that will crash and burn this week? Will it be the Hoosier Luke Menard? Perhaps it will be one of the young teenage heartthrobs David Archuleta or Danny Noriega. Several of the posts I have been reading elsewhere expect it to be Chikezie the one named wonder from Inglewood, CA. I am still undecided as to which of the American Idol male finalists will meet Simon's wrath. Whoever is the unlucky sole to crash and burn on tonight’s showing of American Idol, I'm sure the train wreck will be a shock to many. watch out for Asia'h Epperson in the female finalists though.

American Idol Finalists |Garrett Haley Goes Home
Unfortunately, Garrett Haley the young teenager from Elida, OH was one of the first 4contestants eliminated from American Idol. Hopefully, the young singer from the midwest will take this as a learning opportunity and continue working towards his singing goals. Perhaps Garrett Haley will be back in future seasons of American Idol to attempt to go further. Another midwest American Idol hopefull Amy Davis was also on the chopping clock last night and will go home packing just like Garrett Haley. With Amy and Garrett getting voted off of American Idol that leaves just 2 more finalists from the midwest area in the competition. Luke Menard and Amanda Overmyer will both continue on into week two of American Idol. Hopefully the Midwest voters can get behind one of these two perfomers and support them until the finals. American Idols | American Idol Finalists - Females Update
Among the American Idol Females to perform last night and in my opinion out shined their male counter parts. Amanda Overmyer, Syesha Mercado, Carly Smithson and Asia'h Epperson were the better of the top 12 American Idol females last night. I'm sure many will argue otherwise, but that's the great thing about American Idol we can all vote based on our own opinion. Tonight we will get to find out exactly who will be going home. There will be two male and two female performers eliminated from American Idol tonight. It is our hope that Garrett Haley will not be among those sent packing.
American Idol Finalist Garrett Haley | Breaking Up Is Hard To Do
Garrett Haley ,a teenager from Elida, OH., had his debut as one of the top 12 American Idol male singers last night. Garrett's song of choice for the night was "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do" written by N. Sedaka and H. Greenfield. Garrett Haley appeared a bit nervous in my opinion and the judges of American Idol all seemed to be of one mind stating that his performance was a bit boring. Randy, Paula and Simon all seem less than impressed. While this may not be the best showing for Garrett Haley we hope that he will continue on in furter episodes of American Idol. The results of voting will be available on Thursday nights showing of American Idol, I believe. Garrett we hope you get enought votes to continue further into the American Idol competition. Lets find a song a bit more exiting than "Breaking up is hard to do" for your next selection.
The other midwest singer performaing as a top 12 American Idol male singer for the night was Luke Menard from Crawfordsville, IN. Luke also left the judges a bit less than impressed. Luke Menard choose "Everybody's Talkin'" by Harry Nilsson. The judges felt that the song wasnt the best of choices for him, and he was pitchy throughout it.
American Idols | Garrett Haley American Idol Finalist | Midwest Teenager Makes American Idol Top 24
Garrett Haley one of the American Idol top 24 finalists will make his presence known this evening on the airing of American Idol's season seven. Garret Haley is a seventeen year old boy with a Midwest background coming from the small town of Elida, Oh. The young teenage American Idol is sure to make an impact on the teenage girls with his curly locks and baby blue eyes. Garrett Haley will be one of 12 men performing on this evenings American Idol show airing on Fox. Garrett Haley's favorite artists inclued the Back Street Boys, Christina Aguilera, and Steve Perry.
The Midwest State of Indiana has dominated the American Idol Finals this year by providing an amazing 3 contestants. This is matched only by Florida that also brings Three American Idol Finalists to the table.
